Step 1Warming-up and leading in

1. Listen to an English song called The more we get together, the happier we’ll beand you will find that there are a lot of “friends” in this song. Use the brainstorm method to ask students to come up with some word phrases and sentences related to friends

2.Introduce your friends in small groups of four according to the following tips.

3.Ask students “How can you know your friends，if you haven’t seen each other for a long time?”There are many ways to contact friends,one of the best ways is sending e-mails to them. Do you know why?Transition the material of today’s topic.

Read two ads to learn about Helen and Tom for completing the tables

2.Post-reading

Guide the students to discuss

Step 3While-writing

1. Show the pictures to the students and ask the students to talk about the pictures.

2. Ask the students to say some sentences about the pictures.

2. Provide the high school entrance examination composition standard, students are required to modify their own composition according to this standard
