Enclosed report writing guide.

Introduction : ( Follow the 3 points )

1. General Information.

- What is the title of your project? You can create a new title to suit your project. - What is your project about? ( Can derive from your assignment brief ). 简介：（3分）

2. The importance and purpose of your project.

- What is the problem?

- What is the purpose of your project?

- To solve a problem or to prove a theory?

- Why do you need to solve the problem? Justify why.

- What are you trying to achieve in your project?

For example:

Title - Sustainable Souvenirs.

*What is souvenirs? Type of souvenirs, material used, price and size etc. Where can you buy these souvenirs? Who is buying it? Etc.

*What is sustainable design. List out the sustainable design criteria. For example, non toxic material. Define what is non toxic material. Local content

*Why is it important to produce Sustainable Souvenirs? You can explain the effect of tourism on cultural and heritage etc. Waste generated by tourist etc. Deterioration of scenic or heritage sites etc.

* You can explain the use of Souvenirs as a tool to educate tourist on the issues of sustainability etc.

3. Outline of your report briefly.

- Explain to reader how are you going to present your report in a brief description ( Short sentences ) or point form.

For example:

- Point 1. Your research or testing methods. For example, observation

(Where ), on site survey ( Where ), experiment ( Show your pictures ), Interview etc. Justify why and how do you carried out a certain type of research.

- Point 2. Problems identify. What did you find out from your research? ( Summary of your finding )

Mock up sample to final sample etc. Report the problems you faced and how do you overcome it etc. Demonstrate how do you use your research data in your design process etc.

Point 5. Explain your final solution / product. Demonstrate how do you think your design is able to solve the problems stated earlier etc. Describe your final product in detail. Compare it to the existing products. Material used. Manufacturing methods. Show how user use your product etc.

You can start the body by following the points from your outline. Expand your story and describe as detail as possible. Present your research data and pictures collected etc.

Conclusion ( 3 points )

1. Summary of your project.

2. Reemphasize of your finding ( From point 5) and your recommendation if any.

3. Concluding your view. ( From your introduction - the important and purpose of your project. Have you achieve your goals etc? How successful is you products? Have you done any survey to test it etc )
