Ⅱ.Leading -in

Watch a videoand answerthree questions.

1. Howdoes Sponge Bob show his sadness ?

2. How does grandma show her love to SpongeBob?

3. How do your parents show their love to you,do they use theirbody language,words or other ways?

Ⅲ.Presentation

Open thebooks to page37 and answer threequestions

1.How many ways do you know to communicate with each other in daily life?

2.What does thetitle “listening to Howbodies talk”tell us?

Ⅳ.Skimming

Read the passage please and try to find out the main idea of each paragraph.

The first paragraph, body language expresses our thoughts and opinions.

The second paragraph, the gesture of eye contacts differs from culture to culture.

The third paragraph, the gesture of okay has different meanings。

The fourth para, the gestures of yes and no have the different ideas.

The fifth para ,the hand gestures relates to eating and sleeping which are the same in the world.

The sixth para, the smiling gesture has many differernt usages.

Work in pairs to see some body language, their meanings and countries or regions .

2.Apart from fakesmile,is there any other kind of language that can be fakesometimes?

3.Which is a more reliable guide for understanding someone’Sfeelings without their body language orthe words they speak?

Ⅷ.Deep thoughts.

Let’s watch asecond video and think a question .

1.How could you make yourself smileandhappy everyday?

Don’t concentrate ontheterrible situation,try to find your own happiness,try to think some funny experience , try to think about favourite things,like the beach,the sunshine,the rain ,the nice umbrella ,and thethunder.but if you are really annoyed,cry please,release your sadness,thenlook outside,tomorrow is more beautiful.
