As China becomes more and more into the international community， western customs， was introduced into China and the western festival。 Western holidays， particularly Christmas， popular in China， but the Chinese should celebrate Christmas has triggered a heated debate。

Some people think that Christmas is the invasion of western culture， so it should be condemned。 However， I think this is one of China's opening and appreciate other cultures。

Moreover，we have our distinctive way of celebrating Christmas。Instead of going to the church like the Americans，we regard Christmas as an opportune time to shop and to enjoy ourselves，as many shopping centres offer discounts to attract costumers in Christmas season。As such，our values are not deeply altered by our celebration of christmas。

每年的10月31日是西方国家的传统节日----万圣节。在万圣节前夕，我们杭州网的小记者展开了一次“万圣节英语文化之旅”。

我和妈妈早早地来到了活动集合地点，报到后领了一张活动的介绍。等人差不多齐了后，我们各自得到了一个英文名，然后来到了一个充满万圣节气氛的小屋：神秘的黑色城堡与坟墓；诡异的南瓜灯；墙上贴满了各种各样的妖魔鬼怪的图案······让人直冒冷汗。

活动开始了，首先是通过一个小短片让我们知道了万圣节的由来：万圣节最早是爱尔兰人驱赶鬼神的节日，又叫“夏之尽头”。但信奉神的教皇不同意了，便把11月1日订为跪拜鬼神的节日，但10月31日晚要驱赶鬼神的呀，于是正式把“夏之尽头”改为“Hlloween（万圣节）”。据说这一天在西方国家，孩子们都会穿上精灵古怪的衣服提着南瓜灯挨家挨户讨糖吃。

既然说到挨家讨糖吃，接下来我们就玩了“Trick or treat（不给糖就捣蛋）”的游戏。我提了一盏南瓜灯敲了敲门，笑嘻嘻地说：“Trick or treat”，然后走进门，老师就给我了两颗糖。耶！太容易了！

最好玩的要数“咬苹果”了。老师把苹果悬挂在绳子上让我们去咬，但只能用嘴不能用手，谁先咬到，谁就是优胜者。轮到我了，我挑了个最中间的苹果准备下嘴。可是我的嘴刚碰到苹果，它就“跳”开了，反复尝试了好几次，都以失败告终。我急了，对准苹果张大嘴露出锋利的牙齿狠狠地咬了下去。呜……苹果“逃”得更快了，还来了个“反弹”，我的鼻子！游戏时间到了，虽然我没有咬到苹果，但作为鼓励老师还是送了我一只苹果。哈哈！我连忙用双手接过苹果咬了下去。这下你“逃”不掉了吧，用手拿着吃就是方便啊！

这次杭州网小记者的“万圣节英语文化之旅”可真有意思！

同学们，你们对英语作业不算陌生吧？对，只要哪一天有英语课，那天就一定有英语作业。

今天，MISS李给我们上第九模块第一单元：《Letter From Aboad》，课文中涉及到：一般过去式、现在进行时和一般将来时等三个时态。我喜欢这篇课文，因为，这是一封信，信在我们学过的课文里“罕见”。

课堂上，老师没有给我们写作业的时间，布置家庭作业时，班里顿时变得鸦雀无声，因为，有一些不喜欢上英语课的同学希望作业少一点。当老师说：“今天作业只抄写本单元14个单词，每个单词抄写10遍”时，班里立刻热闹起来，有的人欢呼雀跃——那些学习差的同学希望作业少，所以很高兴；有的人窃窃私语——学习中等的同学对作业量无所谓；还有的人长长地叹了一口气——学习好的同学为作业太少而郁闷（大家对作业的量报以不同的态度）。

回到家，我就开始抄词，14个单词，一共要抄140遍，我很快就完成了，因为我昨天预习了，顺便把单词背下来了。抄完词，我又选择eat和play两个词造句，结果遇到了拦路虎，我请教课本，顺利解决了问题（课本真是我们无声的老师）。

喜欢上英语课的人，盼望老师布置更多的作业，不喜欢上英语课的人，则是在有英语课那天祈祷作业少一点。总结我做英语作业的体会：要想完成的好，必须喜欢它。我很喜欢英语，从小就对英语情有独钟，所以，我觉得，做英语作业并不难。

星期五，妈妈已经在门外等待着我了。

老师一讲完，我就像一支离弦的箭一般冲出教室，与妈妈汇合，只见妈妈一直眉开不说一句话，我还以为是我怎么了呢？一问，我才知道我妈妈给我报了一个英语补习班，“啊！”我的下巴顿时“一落千丈”，妈妈一听这啊就不高兴了，用眼睛睁了我一下，我立刻将我那“一落千丈”的嘴收了回来。本来我闷闷不乐的，可上了一堂课后，就改变了我的心情。饭后，爸爸妈妈把我送到教室里，我的心怦怦直跳，身体不知道为什么总是在颤抖。

后来，我被送进了一间小教室里，老师很幽默，把大家都逗笑了。老师发给每个人一张小卷子和一个袋子，袋子里放着一盒光盘和几本书，我被分到了第二组，一共两组，老师英文名叫sky谢，她给每个人取了一个英文名，我叫Jerry，然后我们就开始上课了。课堂上十分有趣，老师讲我们8人分成两组，一行两人，一列四人，两组PK，我和一个说话最毒，思考最快，活泼得像一只猴子的人比。我的星数果然比他少。一次下来他得了十五颗星，我得了十二颗星，其他人都不到十颗，他领了四张PP卡，我领了三张PP卡。时间过的飞快，（哦！我忘说了，老师还打印出一张班规，一共有十七条。）

转眼间两个小时过去了，我和老师说了拜拜后就和妈妈恋恋不舍的离开了教室。
